I couldn't get the design for a handbag out of my head so I thought I'd make it! - I only used an old pair of curtains to begin with but I'm quite pleased with the results and think I will probably produce a range from more exciting fabrics
This is exciting! Our house may be going to be featured in 25 Beautiful Homes magazine, and the journalist when she came to look round the house liked all the things I've been making and said that if I lent her a box of samples she might be able to get them featured as props in other houses in the magazine! This woud be fantastic free publicity and a real honour for my new little business!
So I'm now officially selling at last! - I've started with Folksy.com as I like their website and some of my friends are already on there. The link is http://katherinethompsonhandmade.folksy.com. I decided to start off by concentrating on Easter presents so have only put on my cute little egg cosies as I think they make a really good alternative to a chocolate Easter egg
My daughter LOVED her cushion (and so do lots of her friends as she put it on facebook!). I also made her a funky iPad case ready for her iPad that she's saved for 2 years for - bless her. It should arrive next week and here's the case ready to keep it cosy and safe
I design, sew and sell quirky makeup and wash bags from my home workshop surrounded by orchards in Kent. www.KatherineThompsonHandmade.com
